STV to air new two-part series ‘The Lost Supper’
Scottish celebrities explore their forgotten family recipes on STV from Monday 4th May at 2000 with brand new two-part series, The Lost Supper.
Working with a renowned chef to explore their cultural and family background, The Lost Supper takes Scottish celebrities Bill Paterson and Jayd Johnson on a journey to recreate their families’ favourite recipes.
Each 30 minute episode is packed with emotional stories involving the evocative meals shared by families across generations and the end of each show reveals the chef’s creation to the celebrities’ family as they decide if their The Lost Supper has been recreated.
Elizabeth Partyka, deputy director of channels at STV, said: “The Lost Supper combines celebrities, cooking and countryside as the chefs go on a journey with our famous faces to discover forgotten family recipes. The shows are packed with great stories as we learn a little more about our celebrities as they travel around Scotland, and viewers will need to stay tuned to see if the chefs are able to recreate the recipes the way they remember them.”

Scottish-Italian restaurateur Carina Contini takes legendary actor Bill Paterson (Outlander, Shetland) on a culinary trip down memory lane, retracing his steps as a young boy and learning about the cherished family dishes he shared growing up in Scotland. With no recipes handed down from Bill’s mother the pressure is on for Carina to deliver Bill’s family favourites by the end of the show. Carina and Bill travel across the beautiful Scottish countryside visiting locations from Bill’s past including Glasgow, Millport and Dunoon.

Chef Neil Forbes takes Scottish star Jayd Johnson (River City, The Field of Blood) on a culinary journey to rediscover her Lost Supper. Looking back at Jayd’s family history, Neil must piece together two classic family recipes, each steeped in history. In this episode Neil and Jayd travel from Burntisland to Ayr as they meet up with Jayd’s family to unlock the secrets of her Lost Supper.
The two, 30 minute episodes of The Lost Supper are produced by STV Productions and co-funded by Red Arrow Entertainment Group.
The Lost Supper will be available for catch-up on the STV Player and will be repeated on STV Glasgow and STV Edinburgh.Back…
