Hit gameshow The Link returns for a brand new series
The Link returns for a brand new series from 26th January, weekdays at 1500 on BBC One.
The second series of The Link, produced by STV Productions in association with LTV, is presented by actor Mark Williams (Father Brown, Blandings and the Harry Potter franchise).
The Link sees three teams race against time over the course of 45 minutes to find the link between questions. This gripping quiz puts contestants’ knowledge to the test while rewarding bold, tactical teamwork. The aim is to make the connections, break the links and win cash.
The first series of The Link aired in May 2014 and ranked number one in its daytime slot.
Alan Clements from STV Productions, said: “It is fantastic news that The Link proved such a hit with the daytime audience first time round. We are thrilled the series is continuing on BBC One with Mark Williams at the helm.”
Andrew Robertson is executive producer for STV Productions and Jo Street is the Commissioning Editor for the BBC.
PJ Johnson, executive producer for LTV Productions, said: “The Link Series Two is set to entertain, educate and “hillariate” British audiences. Mark Williams has injected a big selection of humour and characters into Season Two with the contestants reacting in the best possible way. The Link is turning into a great TV quiz show that is as funny as any sitcom.”
Warner Bros. International Television Production is the global distributor of The Link format.
STV productions developed the format in partnership with LTV.
